Block, Barnstaple
Passionate about making great food, the team at Block are all about serving interesting plates inspired by cuisines from around the world. Incorporating vegan dishes into their ever-evolving menu is one of their many skills. Enjoy amazing breakfast and lunch dishes that will be hard to find anywhere else locally, such as a vegan katsu curry or phở chay.

LunchBox, Barnstaple
Tucked slightly out of the way on Church Lane is LunchBox. Serving up wholesome and healthy dishes influenced by tastes from across the globe. Offering both an eat in or takeaway option you can always rely on them to have a plethora of different and delicious vegan options for you to try including curries, stews and salads.

The Boathouse, Instow
Lying between Barnstaple and Bideford, with stunning views across the estuary, The Boathouse is a great place to stop and enjoy a bite to eat at any time of day. With vegan options on both their brunch and main menu, you can always find something to enjoy – the linguine sounds outstanding!
A favourite with North Devon vegans, The Riverside has a dedicated menu for those who like their food without a face. It boasts a whopping 11 options, such as risottos, Buddha bowls and curries, and not a falafel sandwich in sight!

Riverside Cafe, Braunton.
Next to the river in Braunton (if you couldn’t already tell from the name), The Riverside is great for a sunny lunch before a long walk along the nearby beach at Saunton.
Dave and Sara welcome you to the Riverside. Fun and friendly family run cafe/restaurant serving fresh, local, seasonal menus throughout the day with a good plant-based option.

Biffen’s Kitchen, Croyde.
Discover the taste of Croyde Surf-Inspired Street Food this summer at Biffen’s Kitchen.
From his Moroccan infusion to Japanese katsu nights, you cannot visit North Devon without popping in for a bite to eat and experience the Croyde Sea view.
Biff, always offers a plant-based breafast and evening option and this year, he is offering vegan brownies too!

Hippy Happy Hoppers, Croyde.
Hippy Happy Hoppers is a unique street food stall situated in the beautiful beachside town of Croyde. A family-run stall, that offers a wide variety of Sri Lankan style fusion food and juices, combining influences from across the world for a taste sensation.
The stall offers mainly vegan and vegetarian options, all ingredients are organically sourced and freshly prepared. The tableware is ethnically sourced, recyclable and compostable. And the stall itself is handmade by Lomas Furniture, using local wood sustainably sourced, benefitting life in local woodlands. Good Honest Food.

Grassroots Vegetarian Café, Ilfracombe
Homemade vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free savouries and sweets items. Eat-in or takeaways are available. Bistro nights on Fridays and Saturdays BYO, from 19.00. Booking for evenings recommended.

The Kings Arms, Georgeham.
Re-opened and revived from imminent extinction in 2010, The Kings Arms is, (and loves being) back in its rightful place at the very heart of the vibrant community of Georgeham, North Devon. They are all about the quality of food, drinks and most importantly hospitality.
We recommend trying the veggie wellington!
